Lukasiewicz Jan

He was a Polish logician and philosopher born in Lviv. His work centred on analytical philosophy, mathematical logic, and history of logic. He thought innovatively about traditional propositional logic, the principle of non-contradiction and the law of excluded middle. In 1897 Jan went on to Lviv University where he studied philosophy and mathematics. He is one of the main figures at Lviv-Warsaw logician school.
