Polish painter, representative of 20th century Secession style who became well known for sacral art, including frescos, sketches for stained-glass windows, easel paintings. He worked in Lviv, Vienna, Pzremyzhl, Washington. Was born in Warsaw to the Jewish family. His father was a very active Polish historical and genre painter. The father was his first teacher. Talanted painter of sacral art attracted the archbishop Joseph Teodorovych. During the 1930s Jan Henryk taught, as a professor of art, at the Lviv Polytechnic University.Among his decorations and paintings in Lviv are: frescos, Armenian Cathedral; frescos, Carmelite Monastry; frescos, the palace Chapel of Catholic archbishop.
