Active leader of the Bandera's Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). From 1941 was a deputy of OUN-B’s leader S. Bandera. During 1942-44 had been in Sachsenhausen concentration camp. After release Stetsko spearheaded the creation of a new anti-soviet organization, the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations, the ABN. Gifted with great skiils Yaroslav not only graduated high school in Ternopil, but later studied Law and Philosophy at Krakow and Lviv Universities. Because of his pro-Ukrainian activities Stetsko was arrested by Polish authorities in 1934 and sentenced to a 5-year term. In February 1940 Yaroslav Stetsko was a co-organizer of creation of revolutionary OUN-B in Krakow. On July 5, 1986, Yaroslav Stetsko died in Munich, Germany and was buried at Waldfriedhof cemetery.There is Stetska Street in Lviv nowadays.
